This is the same fire at Taylor’s Mill in Wallgate from the mill yard. Once the fire had been extinguished the mill eventually had to be demolished.

Parts of the mill were not demolished and became Bond Worth carpets in th 1970,s and parts are now Shearings. I rememberanother fir e there in about 1950.
