I started work in the shop named Sarah Lynns, it was Brooks Bros then, A tailors, I Worked with Betty Cunliffe from scholes and Peter Mason from Parbold My mate Keith Weston worked in Greenwoods later he moved to Smiths in Mesnes St in the Record Dept. I think he is a Porter at Wigan Infirmary now. two more name from this era were Judith Hindle and Margaret Birchall both from Pepper lane Standish

Gerry, did Keith work in Debenhams at one time before Smiths? If so, I think he worked at Smith's with my daughter Ashley a few years ago.

Irene I am not sure that Keith worked at Debs.. when he was at Greenwoods he always wanted to work in a record shop so it was either Chamberlains.. Roy Hursts or Smiths he went to Smiths and stayed there for about 20 odd years

This takes me back, I was the manager of Greenwoods from 1972 to 1985 and likely I dressed those windows
