Well I havent seen it before. And the building on the right must have been very old even in the 1860's. It sure is a pleasant change from thousands of football pix. Sorry but not everyone on the planet is that much into Wigan football history.

sorry i cant make this photo out..is it the corner where b&b and barclays is or somewhere else? ive never seen a photo of the market place that old.My Grandad was born in the Bulls head Hotel on market place, i would love to see a photo of that if anyone has one.

If you google bulls head hotel wigan, they have a website. Is that the one where your grandfather was born?

Sheryl-no thats the one in goose green. My granddad was born in Bulls head hotel, market place...it was demolished around 1938 to make Lowes shop bigger..please correct me if ive got dates wrong. ive only seen very unclear photo of it taken from side view
