If I remember rightly, the building on the right used to be a cinema- the Royal ( we used to call it the scratch). We used to sit on orange boxes ( it was 1 pickle jar to get in). It later became part of Plesseys

Just on th right here, where there was a bay window (think its visible) my friend's dad, who was a GP, had his surgery. There was also a paper shop nearby I think

The paper shop was run by George and his wife.George also worked part-time for M & W occasionally
