In later years it became a petrol station and still is. The original building was knocked down quite a few years ago. I can remember it being a dress shop and later a florist.

As you can see on the previous photo it was Ashton,s Cafe and my wife,s dad lived in that house.

This was my home and I have many happy memories of great family times at Wide Cross Stores
My Friend owned it Tony Alker....many a weekend borrowing his garage ramp in the 70's.
