On one of your photo's Dave there's a pic of a VW polo with a license plate letter E. This would make it after Sept 87' at the least.

Thanks Moz,I read that Sir Ian Mckellen who is 2-3 years older than me,was inspired to acting whilst watching the pot sellers do their stuff on Wigan Market.Those boys were real entertainers.

Dave whelan used to have a stall, just to the right of the lady with the white bob cap...e used to sell toiletries.. if i remember right..back in the 1970s then.
