Hope you realise that swing was 'Elsie's' favourite swing.
Anyone else remember her?
Hi, Joseph, we've talked before.....how nice to talk to you again! I didn't like to mention Elsie as I don't know if she is still with us, though I certainly hope so. I have mentioned her in a couple of "Past Forward" articles; I remember she used to swing so high that we always feared she would go over the top bar, but she never did, as far as I know. Thankyou so much for your comment.....isn't it good to share memories?!
Hello Irene, yes it is good to share memories and the older we get the more vivid they become. I am almost positive I saw Elsie a few months ago around town with some careres, I enquired on Wigan World about this and one or two people confirmed that it was her and she is living with her sister in Wigan.
Hello Irene. Lovely photo. Bet they were both proud of him.
Hello, Ruth, Colin lives in Halewood near Liverpool now, and young Colin in Skelmersdale. He and his wife have no children, but Colin and Pat's daughter Allison has a little girl who will be one next month, so Colin is at last a Grandad, and Pat a Grandma, even though she didn't live to see baby Holly.
I remember Elsie too.. she was harmless but always seemed to sit behind us in the bug and tell us what happens next in the big picture... I remember one film called how to make a monster... we were Frikund Dee-uth
