This stood in Lymn Street, just off Liverpool Road. I can remember the building was still standing when I was a lad, although by that time it had been converted to a private house.

I Lived next door to this Dennis from 1964 until I left home in 1984. My mum still lives there now. Before it was a private house it was 3 flats. It was destroyed by fire in 1986

I am told by the older members of my family that there were stables attached to the pub at one time, and this where the family stabled their horses and traps. My family had about three pony and traps that they would hire out for weddings and such.

that would probably explain the outbuildings at the rear of the pub. We used to play in the grounds in the late 60s early 70s when it was derilict. There was also a pig sty at the rear as well. The pub was burnt down in 89 not 86 as first stated.

Billy Dingsdale converted the stables into a Weight Lifting club about 1960 .We used to go in there messing but Billy was quite serious about .

My mother was born there in September 1936 it was run by her parents Marion and byrom Bunney
