It would appear that the Stag Inn was on the corner of Coop street in Whelley, according to a book I have on Wigan Pubs.
However, this photograph doesn't show the pub as being on a corner?

I Lived near by. The Stag was on the corner of Coop st, and was a typical Walkers stock brick built pub, not a bit like this. Could this be an earlier one?.

Coop st was in scholes .

The stag was in scholes Bolton st. Was across the road
