Another view of the Roebuck Hote.l It is said that the stables behind the Roebuck were used to house elephants and other exotic animals which came into town with the circus.
Also it was believed to be haunted by the ghost of a drunkard who contrived to drink himself to death after locking himself in the cellar one night.
