I lived at 13 Eddleston Street, just round the corner from Annie Thornleys shop on the corner of Soughers Street. Eddleston Street was the one that went up from the main road (Wigan Road) and up to the newer bungalows Dryden Avenue at the top. Does anyone have any old photos of a Eddleston Street?
I remember playing in Soughers Street as a child. We lived in the bungalows on Dryden Ave - our house can be seen at the top of the street on the photo. I think there might have been an old school on the corner of Soughers Street and Rose Hill Street?
