Skelmersdale New Town development is under way and the farmers land in Dev. Corp. hands. The numbers and arrows indicate the position and general direction that the accompanying numbered photos were taken. Part of the old course of the River Tawd is still visible although the water now flows through the newly constructed Tawd Culvert seen as a "white track".
