My sister, Margaret Harrison was one year old here, in 1953. The wall at the back is part of an old air raid shelter that stood at the bottom of the street opposite the high even numbered houses. Margaret is still fit and well and living in Alton Close where a lot of street residents got moved to before the houses were demolished in 1958.

i remember that car every time i got in,it would only go backwards

I remember the car well also. We all loved sitting in it.
