Street party to celebrate a royal jubilee in Kingsway, Ince. My grandparents Peter and Edith Parkinson lived at number 4. Edith is third from right (grey hair and apron!) I have no idea who anyone else is though.
If the flag on the end of the table is anything to go by, they could be celebrating the Coronation of King George VI; 12th May 1937.
What a lovely photo. Yes, I clearly remember your Grandmother, I was only young at the time but I remember her lovely smile. My dad Jack Kellie was her nephew. Dad took me to visit her in the 60`s usually when visiting family who lived in the Grove Ince.
Nadine. Thanks for your comments about my grandma. If you have any more information about the Parkinsons or the Swifts I would love to hear from you. Can you let me know how I can make contact? Thanks. Graham
