I would imagine that my Dad and my uncle are on this photo (Jack and Jimmy Oakes). They lived at number 68. Also their cousins Mary and Tom Oakes lived in Ward Street.

My Mum is Margaret Pimblett (her married name was Beaumont), sister of Jean and Joan. Unfortunately, she and Jean both died four years ago. Joan is still living in Ince. regards Janet Beaumont

My nan was born at 45 Ward Street, 1910 - Gladys Oldham. I am researching my family tree. Although this photo is many years later it is still a good find.

i have seen this photo in the family in the past. my husbands mum,is on the far right, next to her is his aunt(lotty yates, who lived round the corner in charles st) and next along is his grandma yates. his dad vince yates came home from active service in thre navy then, but we cant see hime on the photo. they all lived at 20 ward st, until it was demolished in the 1970s,i remember theirs was the last house in ward st still ocupied all the others were boarded up and empty for what seemed like years.

My grandad, Rowland (Row) Heyes lived at No8 Ward Street along with my uncle, Cliff Heyes and my cousin, Joan Heyes (now Martin. My dad was Bob Heyes and he had another brother, Norman Heyes. Sadly Joan and I are the last of the Heyes family.
