Aerial view looking East.The main entrance to the pit can be seen bottom RH corner.
So the aircraft was more or less over the A49. I went past there today on the bus. The farmed area in the foreground is now scrubland. Is that part of the plan to get people to accept the planned redevelopment of the site? That it's a waste-land? Hmmm.
