The Council erected the bollards after the first outfits to come and go from the EWS scrapping facility in the former Springs Branch sheds repeatedly mounted the curb to swing round the corner. They don't get knocked down as frequently as they did, since an area of the verge behind the trailer was filled with stones to enable trailers to run across it. Another pic by Richard Johnson.
