we was on ashton beech hill run to gether they used to say happiness is a three bell load i dont think so we was always full it was all go

Roy, I remember my Dad telling me, when he had to do his first run to Beech Hill, he didn't even know where Beech Hill was.. Seems funny now, but back then when none of us had a car, we didn't know where anyplace was on the other side of Wigan..

No Roy, I don't, Dad was a begger for throwing things away, never kept anything.. If he didn't have a use for something, it got thrown out and if it was nailed down it got painted, that's how Dad worked, Lol..

re Sturgeon and a three bell load! he never had one only the buses at back of them had that!epecially when they had a brew on!only got a load when bingo came out late at Ashton!
