Janet,I think the tall person at the back in both photos is Richard (Dick) Ashroft from Cedar Grove Orrell,I went to school with is son.
Indalo you may be right, though I have no way of confirming that.
HI ,Janet, Thats just how i remember your dad, i used to get a free ride on the bus
Hi Gerard, you and everybody else I think. It's a wonder he had enough money to turn in at the end of his runs. He was something else, I still miss him.
The 'laid-back' character on the left with the 'bop-crop' is my cousin, Michael Berry.
Trevor, would 'Michael' be able to name the other members of the crew, I don't know any of them. Thanks..
Hi, Janet,
Michael would probably be able to give that info but unfortunately, I have lost contact with him for some years now. Families!!!
Trevor, I understand. Thanks!

Roy, I just arrived back after a visit to England and just saw your post.. How nice to know someone who worked with my Dad. You may or may not know that my Dad passed away in Nov 83, can't believe he's been gone for so long already. Still miss him like crazy.. Take care Roy..
I have no idea as to why I put 83, Dad passed away in Nov 03..
which one is your dad janet i was conductor for dick ashcroft till i went driving i new them all very well
hi janet i have sussed out your dad was jimmy lomax we used to play dominoes in welfare at depot for 1 p a knock and a penny a game and we used to go on bowling green with dick ashcroft they was all good blokes
mick berrys dad mark also worked on busses at same time
janet i know why you put 1983 not 2003 because he was a bugger for going early
That's funny Roy, I know he never liked being late, I take after him for that..
"Dick Ashcroft"one of the sharpest whits on the buses, was once asked by a clippy whose bag strap was to short " have you got a piece of string on you dick, His reply was and I quote,"what's think it is a roll of BACON" I rest my case. Great guy to work with.
sad to say mick berry died a few weeks ago
