c1962 Engine approaching Rose Bridge Junction from Kirkless Hall Junction. Bottom of Rabbit Rocks Higher Ince off Belle Green Lane. Two parallel tracks did exist here at some point and the remains of a line to the left, it looks like a path, actually curved into Kirkless Steel Works.
The houses in the distance are at the top of Belle Green Lane and, from right to left, read end terrace of Bryham Street, end terrace of John Street (partially hidden by engine) and then the streets turned through ninety degrees so front view of Lisbon Street. There were four houses alone at the end of Prince Street higher up.

I remember the Prince of Wales pub,it was on the corner of Prince St and The Bush was near the railway bridge. I think one or two buses got stuck under that low bridge!
Thanks for the photos.
