Can you remember when and where the photo was taken Jennifer? We've had that photo in our family collection for years, without knowing anything about it.

My dad, George Birch took the photograph at the Ridgeway Arms, Horwich. We'd gone on a bowling team day out. Jim McKnight, who was general manager for Wigan Corporation Transport, is on the far right and his daughter, Jean is next to me. Her mum is behind her.

I'm sorry that I can't be more definite, but the photo was taken at some time before October 1956 - that was when this particular bus (which was new in 1938, by the way) was sold.
