Not sure if date says 1953 or 1958.
Majority of staff are on the photo when the company was based in Sovereign rd.
Kindly lent by Miss Doreen Tickle of Shevington.
She is 1st left, on second row, with her hand on shoulder of girl in front.

I would say 1953, going off the clothes and hairstyles, and the general "look" of the picture. A lovely photo.

A great photo! Just think those heady days of rock 'n' roll were just around the corner!

Doreen informs me that the Alstead family lived at the bottom of Princess park in Shevington.
The man stood at the back was called Geoff.
Barbara, 3rd from Rt, back row.
Gertrude,centre.
5th from left, back row, Annie, her family had a fruit shop on the main road in Pemberton.

My mother Margaret Wolsey worked there until about 1951. I will have to show her this photo to see if she knows anyone.

I have shown this photo to my mother ( Margaret Wolsey ) and she tells me that the man at the front is Dennis Kelly who came from rainford. The Geoff is Geoff Sumner. The lady 1st on left back row is Mary Gaskell. The Barbara is Barbara Foster. The Annie is Annie Moorfield. The Ruby is is Ruby Clark. In front of Ruby is Joan Ashwin. The Gertrude is Gertrude Mathews. Mother is now racking her brain to recall some other names as the faces of a couple she thinks she should know.

Thanks Paul, Doreen agrees with all the names your mum supplied now that her memory has been jogged.
If there are any others that come to light we would be grateful if you could post them.

Will gladly add to the list if my mum remembers the names. I think that there was one more name that mum thought was a possibility but was not sure.

Another possible name is Margaret Ashurst
