Looks to me as though its in Bridgeman Terrace having just come out of Kenyon Rd. The bloke(Malc Holland probably) on the right is just walking past were the tax office is now. Must say though Ron what a cracking set of photos.

Helen, difficult to say definitely the make of the car from the rear, but it looks as if it may be a Manchester built (or assembled) Model A Ford.

That's Park road I'm sure with the grammar school in the background.

Maureen it's definitely near the Tax Office Rylands Mill entrance is to the left just higher up than the Park gates

Maureen ... The route of the Beech Hill bus has always been up Bridgeman Terrace past the tax office, left into Walkden Ave, then right onto Gidlow lane and Beech Hill estate.

Comment by: Graham Taylor on 9th June 2011 at 20:58

You could be right DerekB... The Ford model A which replaced its famous predecessor the model T was manufactured between 1928 and 1931. Over here it was made in Trafford Park.

Definitely Bridgeman Terrace, Mill Cottage just behind the bus.

How marvellous is that bygone picture. It looks so well to do in that area.
