Again taken at Walton Sidings, LE 2 Tommy Colbeck on the left, LE 2 Scott Wall in the middle and Senior Overhead Linesman Willy Potter on the right. Scott, another lad and my self all started on the railway on the same day in August 1987. Norman unfortunately, couldn’t develop the confidence on ladder working quickly enough to satisfy the management and so was finished that first week. Scott finished on ill-health grounds, I think around the late nineties or early 2000’s, and yours truly is still going strong as an Electric Controller at Crewe. April 1989
