English Tools was the former name of the company that became Bulldog Tools situated at Darlington St/Manchester Rd, Wigan. These lads are pictured upon a heap of 8 prong moulds that would eventually be forged into an 8 prong fork.

Now I know Im'e getting older. I started here in 1967 as a 15 year old. So then, I would have been an 18 year old stag. Remember most of them very well, great photo.

In the winter of the 70's when I didn't feel like going to school I would sneek into English Tools to watch my Uncle Harold working with Pea Hatton and the rest of these lad's working the rollers !!! It was nice and warm and they gave me the free glucose drink's that they used it was Great.
