I am glad you said that... because I did think the building looked like Moss Lane school.

the lad next to John Howard is (i think)Richard Carrington the lad behind him is one of the Needham brothers,the photo is in Moss lane school yard,Wilf Metcalfe left school in 59 like myself so this photo is earlyer than that

This is the first winning of the inter-mediate cup over ST.Benas.Hindley 3-1 to moss lane this team went on to never be defeated during there days at MossLane. It would be good to be able to meet up again talk football with them all again.
