The only person I can name is the captain -seated in the middle of the front row. He was William Baxter, my late father's cousin, who later joined Liverpool (Prescott?) Stanley RFC and played for them until an injury cut short his career.
Perhaps some of your viewers could identify other members of the team.
the third player from the left on the back row is my uncle Jack [john] Packingham
i think the last one on the back row may be my father robert (bob)hilton he was born in 1916 he did go to rosebridge and it looks so much like my brother alan's son matthew hilton and photos of dad in the war he was in burma my dad always talked ablout playing football but i suppose he did play rugby as rose bridge was always noted for rugby sadly he died 23 years ago wish someone could verify this i have printed the photo to show my family to see if think it's dad thanks for g.k.makinson for puting this on
what a wonderful photograph, this is real history, I suppose it would have been the old school,it would be so nice if someone could put names to the faces and add some more historical records, they were obviously a very successful team by the trophy,s they won.
