Hi Barry, how are things with you. Been looking at the photo you have put on and I can fill in some of the blanks and correct a few others.
Back Row:- Not Norman Purnell but not sure who it is.
2nd Row:- Jennifer Walker not Viv Walker then Linda Roe.
3rd Row:- Boy kneeling behind Colin Brown is Peter
Roughley. Catherine Meredith not Kath Webb
then Rita Smith. Not sure of the next two but
next to the end is Christine Southworth and
then John Farrimond.
Front Row:-Girl in the middle is Kathleen Crank. Then
Terry Westhead and Brian Platt. Think It's
Graham Welch on the end not John Churnside.

Hi Dennis, good to hear from you mate. Hope you and the family are well, as are we. Thank you for the corrections-my memory Isn`t quite as good as I thought-but it was 60 years ago! I`m pretty sure I remember us starting at Argyle St. on the same day though. Happy memories.

Hi Barry. Susan and I are still in Hindley, we have moved house five times but always in the Hall Lane/Ladies Lane area. We are in a bungalow now in Sunleigh Road and Miss Barrow who was a teacher in Junior 3 lives nearby in Hill Street. Susan Butler (Hemsworth) who was married to Philip lives a couple of doors away, she married Denis Ratcliffe after Philip died. Just wondered if you know about the Memories of Hindley website. If you click onto photos and scroll down you will see a class photo of you in the first year at Argyle Secondary School.
