I was delighted to find this photo, I lost all of my old school photo's years ago. so this was a real find!I wonder how everybody is I do remember quite a few.
I think the boy 3rd left, 3rd row in dark coloured top is my brother John Gaskell. I am awaiting a reply from him to confirm this. Does anyone remember him??? He went to Upholland Grammar with Graham Blackledge.
The boy in the third row in the dark-coloured top is Graham Ashcroft. He went on to Upholland Grammar, as did Graham Blackledge, Tony Berry, Jim Bridge and Olwyn Gore. I don't recall a John Gaskell in this class.
Thanks for that, Tony. Still not heard from my brother and I was not sure if it was him. He is a lot older than me. He may have been a year ahead of this class.Anyone have a photo of that year please?
He was at U.G.S 1948 to 1952
these were in a higher class than me, but knew brian wiswall,sheila baybutt,eileen bennet, lived in church street emigrated later on ,edna fearnly lived in fleet street,eric baggley, alfred southworth ,olwyn gore city road ?,peter uniacke ,joan penk , sister in my class, marjorie stone father was undertaker ,murial fishwick , did well forherself ,kathleen laithwaite my cousin ,what memories
