A Tom Gerrard photo, looks like Walthew Lane. Tom Gerrard of Hall Lane, Hindley, was a local photographer who covered all walking days in the Hindley area, the resultant pictures being placed in a local shop window where an order could be placed. I seem to remember the photos being displayed in John Gregory's shop window opposite the King Billy. John Gregory sold dog foods, etc. and at one time had a battery re-charging service for the low-tension batteries which operated many early wireless (radio) sets.
