The lady in pink is Betty Marsh (nee Thompson) Next to her is Lilly Owens(nee Chapman) and I think the man on the rope is David Woods.

That is Albert St Newtown, wher the new houses have been built.

I was born in 67 Albert Street Newtown Wigan in January 1949,my father died when I was 5 years old,and my mother came back to South Shields to live where she originally came from.

Betty is my mum it was her 90th birthday recently strangely I remember that pink dress!

Thats my mum lilly owens in the green only died last year 10/10/2020 age 94 she was still going to wigan in her 90s an amazing women xx
