is that the bottom of albert st where the row of new houses have been built?

Is that Albert Street, Hindley, where my great grandparents lived (at number 9) in the 1890's?

That is Albert St Newtown, wher the new houses have been built.

Fred, The man holding the pole is a young Tommy Peet, I checked this out with Lily before posting this comment.

I was born in 67 Albert Street Newtown Wigan in January 1949,my father died when I was 5 years old,and my mother came back to South Shields to live where she originally came from.

Certainly looks very much like my old friend Tom Peet

Betty is my mum it was her 90th birthday recently strangely I remember that pink dress!

Thats my mum lilly owens in the green only died last year 10/10/2020 age 94 she was still going to wigan in her 90s an amazing women xx
