Train leaving Pemberton station for Liverpool in the late 1950s.
David, wonderful photograph of a Stanier or Fairburn tank (can't tell which), about half a mile out of Pem station. This is the place where I spent hours as a child watching and then spotting the trains. Brings back so many memories.
Have you any more photos of trains around the Pem area?

Why did you not take photo when train was nearer, you would have got a better picture.
David. I am writing a book about my railway career, and I worked in this box as a relief signalman. can I use this photograph?
