I am told that this shows Abram Town Council in the early 1900s, in which case it's possible that my great-grandfather, William Gore, is pictured but as I have no photographs of him I can't verify this. He did, however, serve on both Abram and Leigh councils at various times. He was serving on Abram UDC between around 1912 and his death in 1916.
Any help in identifying men on the photograph would be much appreciated.

Mary, I can't help with either of the photos you have posted, but just want to say they are fascinating, and just what Wigan World is all about.
