My Dad Bill Bradshaw back in the late 1920's. I have no idea what cycle race it was but the larger pic, which has unforunately been cropped, seemed to suggest this was taken in the centre of Wigan, where the Corporation buses stopped at the top of Wallgate. We think the man behind holding the handlebars of the bike, is Fred Foster Senior. Dad won a medal, we have it somewhere.

Just a bit more info on this pic. A cycle race. It was probably taken at the sports day of Eckersleys Mill, where my Dad & his sister Annie Bradshaw worked, abt 1926/28. No one around now that remembers anything from that time ?
My grandads brother won a medal for 1 mile cycle sprint in 1925 I now have got this medal.
