The final nail in the coffin as the 2 towers at Parkside are demolished.A very emotional and sad day for myself and many others.

we were away on holiday when they were dropped, so I missed it. As we were coming back along the M6 from Manchester Airport, the taximan said "do you notice anthing different?" and that was when I realised that the towers were no longer there.

Thats so sad, it was a cracking landmark telling you your'e almost home.

Me and some of my work mates watched from a distence.As the towers fell it brought tears to are eyes

next year will be 20 years since the towers were dropped the main reason given was that in 1994 fiddlers ferry power station was to close,but it is still going strong whitch means parkside could run at least another 20 years at least!

met nornman shaw the otherday had a good chin wag coal dust everywhere told me terry crooks had passed away end of an era

If you are talking about Terry Crook the overman he is not deceased. He’s 80 today.
