The bride and groom leave on a motorbike and sidecar after their wedding at Up Holland Parish Church in the 1960s as workmen paint a halt sign on the road.

The couple on the bike are one of the Rogersons, Don I think, he married a girl from Worsley Hall and ended up living in Appley Bridge

If it is Don Rogerson's wedding, this dates the photo to Summer 1959.
He lived down Ackhurst Lane at Orrell for many years.

Hi Tony, just wondering how you know that if the photo was of Don's wedding it would have been late summer 1959? And that he lived down Ackhurst Lane?.I am genuinely interested and am trying to obtain any history with regards to my family.I do not have a clue as to where or when my parents married. Many thanks Tony, please get in touch I am simply trying to discover my family roots
