Would that be Norman's wife? Norman was my mother's cousin
I have a feeling we are distantly related John....through the names Gaskell & Walsh ? I think I have Lily in my family tree. My Dad was from a line of John Bradshaws of Newtown & Pemberton.
I remember the off License with very fond memories. Mrs Bradshaw was a nice old lady. We used to take the empty bottles back there, which we had pinched from the back yard of the West Ward Labour Club. It was at the top of our street Howard Street. She had a son Norman who was 'backward'. He used to play with us lads at TICK Rugby in the street. I believe he died at a young age. I can see him now. God Bless him.
I remember Norman very well, he was in the same Sunday school class as me at St Johns.
Fred, Her husband was James Norman Bradshaw who passed away in 1958 aged 60.
Hi Helen, Yes I think we are distant relatives. Nelly Walsh is a name from the past I always heard mentioned.
Norman was a winder at Baxter pit when my father=in-law Ted Twigg worked there
I wonder if your branch of Bradshaws is part of the Tennant family same area.
