Kirkless Lock from under Cale Lane Bridge. circa 1982. Big workshops them Kirkless Works.
This lock is possibly more so The Commercial lock. The Commercial Inn is top right on the bridge (not visible in the photo). The Kirkless Hall Inn, and 'the Kirkless lock' is behind the photographer looking up towards Top Lock.

I'll stand corrected Gareth - I was but a poacher from Ince in these waters black with big roach.
