Food for the soul.
So Good!!
Those who paint....
Hang on. It's SPRING!!!
We've only just got shut of Dark nights.
Forever Amber - you have a style of your own Dtease, easily picked out with those muted tones...
Great pic & title...who doesnt love that song. Isn't from The War of the Worlds by Rick Wakeman ?
It is from War of the Worlds but it's from an Album by Jeff Wayne Helen. Richard Burton did the narration.
Food for the soul indeed DTease, with a ten-foot rod beneath a faded hawthorn for dessert.
I like how the dinky path held sway over its wider and more colourful neighbour - people are drawn to 'the modest'.
Helen's musical mention reminds me of friends Jim and Shirley's invitation to hear the newly released album War of the Worlds on their newly bought stonking Stereo system. Well, the moment the spacecraft's lid began to unscrew, I turned to Jim and asked him "Is that outside?"
Gone now has the homely Shirley.
Richard Burton is very much the proverbial “Marmite” is he not Philip? You either love him or hate him, but no matter which side you come down on there is no denying the power of that voice. He was the perfect choice for doing the narration on that Album.
I may turn this pic into a water-colour (with your permit DTease)
What say you PhilipG ?
Water has a great smell,
on days like these, there's a breeze by the ripples,
the lonely feel of wind,
clouds move their shapes,
tempting you to stare,
No one will notice of course,
unless only you where there..
Be my guest, Johnny. If you could put a picture of it on here that would be great.
He'd certainly given much to the Album, DTease.
Yet I feel - despite his characters seeming to have lacked sadness, and hilarity - 'Strawberry or Rasperry' would be a better lead for those wishing to classify the man. They might then discover that he'd given his help to others, received a mighty handle and how he could easily distance himself from tired duplicity.
Could he have polished off Rembrandt, and Henry Hobson [?]
Perhaps not. But then, I'm no expert.
