Is this the place with the old Ruston Bucyrus in the garden Dennis ? I've always fancied having a look at that, but there never seems to be anyone around to ask. That said, the place looks well maintained, if it's the same place I'm thinking of.

I don't know what's over there now Ozymandias. The last time I was over that way the site was no longer used as a scrapyard but, as you say, it was well maintained so someone must be looking after the place.

Dennis and Ozzy, no it's no longer a scrap yard, sadly, Bill passed away about ten years ago but I do know that someone looks in on the place quite frequently.

When you talk of Billy passing away, did you know young Bill he was keeping it going for some time. These were #1 and 2 Bent Houses Bill Parr and his mother lived there, I believe part of the chimney breast collapse and carbon monoxide did for Bill Parr, his mother had died some few years before. All of the Taylors were very negative to anyone attempting to look into their back yard.

Ken R, yes I do know young Bill, the last time I saw him he was the spitting image of his father even spoke like his dad. I would call at the yard often, they were always helpful in keeping my owd bangers on't road be fair with them and they were fair with you !.
