Hi all, still trying to find a few of the photos that need to be reloaded here, however, in the mean time I have been continuing working on the Water Tank that used to stand behind Frames Tours at the top of the ramp down to the Goods Yard area.

(I seem to have a couple of extra bits of data to do with Flickr, but hey.)
Having tried my hand at painting various things I decided I would make a good Pastry Cook, so the two water pipes shown here are plastic rods covered with a modified photo of some rusty pipework, printed out onto self adhesive label paper.

( I will have to update this more often so I don't forget the process for pics)

Because the tank didn't have a lid on it I guessed the water would probably be a bit murky, eventually I found an artificial water product basically called "Deep Murky Water" seemed reasonable, I think it filled up the tank ok.

Last shot is of the tank roughly in position on the layout, it took the Murky Water product a couple of days to dry properly, fortunately it gave me plenty of time to pack the tank base so that the waterlevel was parallel to the top edge of the tank. Obviously that part of my layout isn't level !

Anyway I have moved back onto getting trains running again ( more reliably!) I have identified a couple of sets of points that need attention and one or two locos that need work.
My one and only Jubilee class, is struggling to pull 4 carriages up the incline from Wallgate to the Gasworks and as I would like at least 7 behind it, it is going to need more weight for traction I am afraid.
Also one of Mr Hornby's Chinese offerings couldn't pull the skin of a Rice Pudding.
Onward.
