I still switch-on the telly at the appropriate hour to catch The News.

Just found myself questioning this habit, given that there are rolling news channels, allegedly delivering the news 24/7.

Don't like Rupert Murdoch/Sky, so not gone for that option.

Found CBS News and Aljazeera too far removed from any relevant UK focus, so don't tune in to them.

That leaves the beeb, which in theory has 24/7 News channel.

That said, it is likely to have an hour long sports news running, or similarly 'Click' its IT related magazine programme. A couple of other similar feature programmes also displace the news, and recently interviews with so called celebs also push aside news content.

So my timely 'switch on to catch The News' is a habit which will continue.
