Sports (Talk about balls here.)
I totally agree, Bassman. It's getting worse every season, and is being accepted as part of the game. I used to take some pride out of the fact that English players never dived, and it was only the foreigners. Now nearly every player is at it, no matter what nationality. Bookings are only given for dives in the box, when it happens all over the pitch. Strictly enforcing this rule might ruin quite a few games with player dismissals, but would quickly bring an end to the cheating.
Joey Barton is a disgrace to the game. Rolled around in agony holding his leg, next minute is running to the sidelines mouthing to the 4th official. Then has a tussle with a player over his dive, but drops like a tonne of bricks when given the weakest of weak slaps.
