Sports (Talk about balls here.)
This is actully something i have thought quite a bit about.
Could the real reason be that 20years ago we were still stuck with four channels and 'sky tv' that was full of foreign language channels from memory and the pub was the best 'entertainment' option.Plus to catch up with someone you had to physically meet them.
Now it's a poor second to the internet,1000's of channels and games stations whose games look like real films.
Also of course it was easy to getting in the habit of going to the pub 20 years when you were 14/15/16/17.Now if one of your friends is under 18,you'll have to leave him behind of settle for a couple of 'sneaky' drink in the house or the park.
Throw in the price,the smoking ban and people being more health concious.I guess there is a whole list of factors behind the decline of the traditional pub.
