Sports   (Talk about balls here.)

At times, I just cannot understand such animosity. For me, I am extremely disappointed in Manchester City not reaching the final and extremely delighted in Liverpool reaching the final. I certainly wanted to see a final of two English teams competing for the Cup.
I cannot agree with some of the things that have been said. I do not believe that Liverpool are feeling relieved that they aren't facing Man City in the final. Neither are they feeling relieved that they are going to be facing Real Madrid. Jürgen Klopp and the Liverpool players know what they have to do and they aren't naive nonentities; relief doesn't come into it!
With regard to yesterday's match and which team was the best, it is down to personal opinion and, if you wish, the end result. Man City looked exceptionally good at times and certainly dominated the game during these periods. Sadly, City failed to do what England have failed to do on many occasions, and that is to stick that ball into the back of the net. City had their chances and should have had that ball in the back of the net a number of times. Those two disastrous minutes should have never ocurred and it wasn't due to Real Madrid's players being the best on the pitch, it was due to Man City's players losing concentration and releasing the pressure that they had been applying.
Additionally, and I feel I need to say this, the referee wasn't a help and did no favours for City. Real Madrid's players were up to their usual tricks - like many teams from these parts of Europe - of falling down or diving and rolling in agony trying to get a penalty etc. Many times they succeeded in gaining this advantage and also frustrated the opposition. Sometimes they didn't reap any rewards with their Hollywood acting etc. But, the referee didn't produce the 'Yellow Card' for such behaviour, which is now a rule to try and stop this kind of play. I also saw some of the antics of some of the Real Madrid's players and this is to harass the referee, especially over decisions which hadn't gone their way; this is to place pressure on the referee and possibly some fear. At the end of the first half, some Real Madrid players had surrounded the referee and were strongly complaining about certain decisions. Stupidly, the referee didn't put his foot down and warn them, even to the point of showing a yellow card - which can be shown even at the time.
I am deeply hoping that Liverpool easily beat Real Madrid - 5:0 would be a nice result. Although, I cannot see this happening, but I feel quite sure that Liverpool will pull it off. I will also be behind Liverpool all the way!
