I had thought it might have been an assembly of venues he'd put together for the poem. However, if it was a real town he referred to, then I would have liked to have known... to give it a wide berth!
I expect some of his statements in his works could refer to some of the clubs discussed on here. For a while the Bier Keller in King Street was my favourite, but after an evening of around 50 people finding it amusing to throw pints over each other, it sort of spoiled it!
