Mails crossed once more! I know about Jenny Capell and the three children born up to 1928, but none after that although Jennie was only 31. I couldn't find Jennie's death, but a Jane Jones died in Corporation Street in 1951 aged 59. Age would be slightly out. I don't know. I just thought that if a Charles Jones really were the father of Eric as stated in the parish registers, one reason for not marrying Edna would be that he couldn't. I think it was practically impossible to get a divorce in those days if one spouse blocked it, and there was, of course, a huge social stigma attached. I'm still thinking!!
