Hi Briansmith. I remember John kearns well, we left school together in 1960. Our last teacher was owd Polly Liptrot who was Mr Beedsleys Aunt. I remember all Johns sisters and his younger brother, Peter, who I later worked with at Parkside Colliery. I also saw John play at the Old Hall pub in Ince and other venues. I have not seen John or Peter for many years but I seem to recall Peter telling me that John lived and worked in the USA in the music busness and was doing very well for himself. You confused me a little with the name, Briansmith, because there was a local lad in our class with that name, who, like myself, didnt go to greenfield. The only Nuns I knew from greenfield were teachers at St Marys, Sister Marie, who was quite andy with the cane, and Sister Vincent who tought the infants.
