Watching the livestock being herded into the slaughterhouse at James Strange was one of our fave pastimes as kids around Stephens Way. A few 'escapees' over the years

Didn't appreciate the awful 'death' smell though, the residents of Warrington Rd. argued with Strange and the Council for years without success. It was finally sorted after the place shut down.
