Darrell Banks was shot and killed on the 24th of Feb 1970 by an off duty police officer in Detroit.He lay in an unmarked grave for 34 years.Then on the 17th of July 2004 a Memorial Bench was placed on his grave,paid for by fans from across the World.So that his grave can now be found by his army of fans if they are ever in the area.That's a sad thing to happen to a man who gives so much joy to soul fans with his brilliant voice.Open The Door To Your Heart one of his great songs was penned by himself and fellow Eastside Bufflo friend Donnie Elbert.
